Wichita State Vs. Colorado Final Score: Buffaloes Lose To Shockers 67-58

After getting behind in the first half, the Colorado Buffaloes were unable to mount a comeback against the Wichita State Shockers in a 67-58 defeat on Thursday night. Colorado trailed 33-26 at the half, and struggled to get things much closer in the second half as the Shockers sustained their lead.

Wichita State extended the lead to 50-40 with about 12 minutes left in the game, but over the next couple minutes the Buffaloes trimmed the lead down to 52-49 with a nice run. That was as close as they'd get, though, as the Shockers proceeded to go on a 6-0 run. Colorado cut the lead back to 62-57 with 2:12 remaining on a Askia Booker three-pointer, but that was the last field goal that they'd score all night.

Guard Carlon Brown led the way for Colorado with 15 points and four rebounds. Wichita State had four different scorers in double-figures, led by forward Ben Smith and guard Toure' Murry, who scored 17 points apiece. Shockers center Garrett Stutz also added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Colorado is now 1-1 on the year, while Wichita State bumps up to 2-0.
