The Colorado Buffaloes started the 2011-12 season with a 85-57 victory over the Fort Lewis (CO) Skyhawks on Friday night. Without Alec Burks or Cory Higgins, the Buffs began a new era and easily handled their Division II opponent.
Andre Roberson moved into the starting lineup and continued his rebounding ways with a team-high 15 boards. He added 13 points, tied for second with Utah transfer Carlon Brown. Austin Dufault joined Roberson in the double-double category by scoring a team-high 18 point and pulling down 10 rebounds. Freshman Spencer Dinwiddie scored seven points on 2-of-9 shooting and 3-of-4 free throw attempts. He did grab seven rebounds.
