Paul Richardson Knee Injury Expected To Keep Him Out Three Weeks, According To Report

Colorado Buffaloes star wide receiver Paul Richardson missed Saturday's game against the Stanford Cardinal with, at the time, was an undisclosed injury. Shortly before the game started, the team announced that Richardson is out at least three weeks with a knee sprain, reports Tom Kensler of the Denver Post.

Kensler was the Buffs' top receiving threat, though he had a relatively quiet few weeks after his 11-catch, 284-yard performance against the California Bears. In Saturday's game against Stanford, Tyler Hansen spread the ball around to eight different receivers with Richardson absent. We had actually seen this a week earlier against Washington State when Hansen didn't always look to Richardson or Rodney Stewart.

With the suspension of five players last week and the loss of Richardson, Jon Embree is just going to have a much tougher time building something positive out of this team over the final half of the season.
