CU Coach Jon Embree Suspends Five Defensive Players

The Colorado Buffaloes will be without five defensive players for this Saturday's game against Stanford and possibly for the entire season. According to Buffzone, Colorado head coach Jon Embree suspended Parker Orms, Ayodeji Olatoye, Paul Vigo, Josh Moten and Liloa Nobriga on Wednesday and informed the team after the day's practice.

While the particulars for handing down the suspensions are not known right now, the authorities are not involved:

None of the problems that led to the suspensions involved the police, but the rules violations were serious enough that CU is expected to announce today that none of the five will play again this season.

Liloa Nobriga was the linebacker among the group that included four defensive backs. As the Ralphie Report points out, the Buffs already have a weakened secondary and will need to rely on Jason Espinoza and Brian Lockridge, both converted from offensive skill position.
