Colorado Buffaloes Basketball Not So Hot In One Preseason Pac-12 Ballot

The Pac-12 basketball preseason poll doesn't come out until Friday, but Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News has revealed his ballot already. It's not a good appearance for the Colorado Buffaloes in their season as a Pac-12 basketball team. Wilner places the Buffs at No. 10 of 12, ahead of only the Washington St. Huskies and the new Utah Utes.

The team did lose Alec Burks to the NBA draft and Cory Higgins to graduation, leaving big shoes to fill. The Buffs will need Andre Roberson and Shannon Sharpe to provide a solid foundation for the team this season. Senior Carlon Brown, a transfer from Utah, is expected to be a big contributor as well.

Maybe the Buffs will surprise and make it to the NCAA Tournament in 2012. They were one of the last teams out of the NCAA Tournament selection pool. The Buffs reached the semifinals of the NIT before losing by one point to Alabama, 62-61.
