Buffaloes Fall To The Cornhuskers, 79-67

Lincoln, NB (Sports Network) - Toney McCray scored 18 points to lead the Nebraska Cornhuskers over the Colorado Buffaloes, 79-67, in a Big 12 Conference matchup at the Devaney Center.

Jorge Brian Diaz finished with 14 points for the Cornhuskers (14-4, 2-2 Big 12), while Lance Jeter and Drake Beranek each added 10 points.

Colorado (14-5, 3-1) was led by Alec Burks' 22 points and eight rebounds. Levi Knutson finished with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

The first half was a tight-fisted affair, as both teams executed on the offensive end. Nebraska headed into the locker room with a 31-30 lead at the break, thanks to 50 percent shooting from the field.

The Cornhuskers blew the game open in the second half, draining 16-of-25 shots to cruise to victory.

Nebraska was fueled by a decided advantage on the interior, outscoring the Buffaloes 44-22 in the paint.
