Colorado Buffaloes Final Score: Alec Burks, Cory Higgins Help Buffs Edge Oklahoma St., 75-71

Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Alec Burks registered a double-double with 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as he helped lead the Colorado Buffaloes to a 75-71 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a Big 12 Conference showdown at the Coors Events Center.

Cory Higgins scored a game-high 23 points for the Buffaloes (14-4, 3-0 Big 12) as they won their seventh straight outing and the 12th in the last 13 contests overall. Marcus Relphorde registered 14 points in the victory as well.

The Cowboys (13-4, 1-2) were paced by Jean-Paul Olukemi with 21 points, Keiton Page added 19 and Marshall Moses 14 points in the team's second straight loss.

In a hotly contested first half, Colorado shot a mere 25.9 percent from the field and just 3-of-12 beyond the arc, but thanks to a near-perfect 17-of-18 performance at the free-throw line the hosts trailed by just four at the break, 38-34.

In the second half the Buffs bounced back with 52.4 percent field goal accuracy and again feasted at the charity stripe (17-of-21) in order to secure the four-point win.

In addition to outscoring OSU at the free-throw line on the afternoon, 34-11, Colorado also produced a 39-24 advantage on the glass as well.
