SB Nation has released its first look at teams on the bubble for the March NCAA Tournament, which includes the Colorado Buffaloes. CU is currently on a six-game winning streak that has featured two big-time wins over the Missouri Tigers (at home) and the Kansas St. Wildcats (on the road). That places the Buffs at 12-4 (2-0 in the Big 12) for the season.
↵In his write-up for the Buffaloes, Chris Dobbertean uses the correct phrase ("put themselves in the picture") in describing where the Buffs are right now. Their Tuesday, Jan. 25 contest against the Kansas Jayhawks will be a strong indicator of where this team stands.
↵In the Mountain West Conference, the Colorado St. Rams make an appearance as a team with work to do, while the Air Force Falcons are likely to get into the tournament if they pick up the automatic qualifier. In other words, it's a huge stretch.
