The Oregon Ducks football team will attempt to close out the Pac-10 era with a BCS National Championship victory over the Auburn Tigers on Monday night. Come this fall, the Oregon Ducks will have two new conferences members, the Colorado Buffaloes and the Utah Utes, to form the Pac-12.
↵The Buffaloes and the Ducks meet on Homecoming Weekend in Boulder, Oct. 22, 2011. That will be the Buffaloes' fourth game in the Pac-12 and second home game. Their Saturday, Oct. 8 road game against Andrew Luck and the Stanford Cardinal will be an exciting game to watch, too.
↵Actually, both games will feature a 2010 Heisman Trophy finalist. Ducks running back LaMichael James finished third in the voting this past season and will return to Oregon instead of opting for the NFL Draft in April. James, though, did win the Doak Walker award for being the nation's top running back. Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck was the runner-up in the Heisman voting and announced his intention to return to school in the fall.
↵Colorado head coach Jon Embree and staff will have plenty of time to prepare for those two and all the other talented players in the Pac-12. Can they have quick success in the new conference?
