Report: Dan Hawkins Likely To Keep Job For Rest Of Season

Even a 35-point comeback by the Kansas Jayhawks won’t send Dan Hawkins to an early end this season. According to John Henderson of the Denver Post, sources close to the situation reports Dan Hawkins will finish out the season as the Colorado Buffaloes head coach:

Colorado coach Dan Hawkins will likely keep his job until the end of the season, a source said Saturday night, and said athletic director Mike Bohn wants to keep the continuity with quarterback Cody Hawkins, the coach’s son.

Henderson’s source goes on to say that quarterback Cody Hawkins is close to setting school records, so any disruption caused by Dan Hawkins’ departure could adversely affect the situation under center. A meeting between Hawkins and athletic director Mike Bohn is expected this week.
