College Football Picks: Colorado Could End 15-Game Road Losing Streak

The Colorado Buffaloes visit the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence, Kan., on Saturday, having dropped their last four games. Two of the games were blowouts on the road (Missouri, Oklahoma) and the other two were close games at home (Baylor, Texas Tech). This doesn’t bode well for the Buffaloes this weekend, but as Joel Thorman points out at SB Nation Kansas City, Kansas has serious trouble as well: the Jayhawks are also on a four-game losing streak and lack a clear-cut quarterback.

David Ubben of ESPN.com predicts a Buffaloes victory, but lacks elite confidence in the selection:

Colorado 27, Kansas 20: This one is by far my least confident pick. That comes with picking Colorado to win on the road, where it suffered 26-, 33- and 42-point losses this year. But here goes. Rodney Stewart has a big day, and Cody Hawkins hits Scotty McKnight enough times to halt the Buffaloes’ 15-game road losing streak.

David Ubben, I’m holding you to this. The Buffs can really use a victory right now, but fans may already be looking to 2011 now that their Pac-12 opponents have been revealed.
