It's the final week of regular season college football for the major Colorado FCS teams. Air Force and Colorado State ended their seasons a week ago, and now the Colorado Buffaloes play their last game of the regular season in hopes of becoming bowl-eligible. However, this will come as no small task when they face the BCS No. 15 Nebraska Cornhuskers this afternoon.
↵Both teams play their final games as members of the Big 12, with Colorado moving to the Pac-12 and Nebraska making the jump to the 12-team Big 10. Winning this final game is a matter of pride for both teams, since it will be a long time before they schedule each other for a non-conference game. Nebraska can also win the Big 12 North division with a victory.
↵Game time is 1:30 p.m. MT on ABC.
↵Prediction: Cornhuskers 27, Buffaloes 20
↵Even with Cody Green starting at quarterback over Taylor Martinez, the Cornhuskers will be able to do just enough to defeat the Buffaloes. However, I'm hoping for something like the 2001 game (video) to happen so the Buffaloes can leave the Big 12 in style.
