Colorado Must Run The Ball Well To Beat Missouri

The Colorado Buffaloes are on a two game winning streak thanks to a sharp turn around in the running attack.  After rushing for only 73 yards against California, the Buffs ran for 252 and 234 yards against Hawaii and Georgia respectively.

Here are a few more reasons that Rodney Stewart and Brian Lockridge need to have solid games on the ground in order for CU to take down the Tigers:

Dan Hawkins-coached teams are 40-1 with at least 200 rushing yards. The only loss came to Kansas State in 2006.

Colorado has topped the 200-yard mark on the ground in each of its past two games.

Colorado called running plays 39 percent of the time in 2009.

So far in 2010, the Buffs have called run plays on 59 percent of the team's snaps.
