Buffaloes Defensive Back Josh Moten Arrested

Colorado Buffaloes freshman defensive back Josh Moten was arrested for an alleged assault and domestic incident on Tuesday morning. The Carson, California native has been suspended indefinitely from the Buffs.

Police Cmdr. Tim McGraw said the investigation is not complete. According to CU’s online police blotter, CU student Britini Matthews, 18, was ticketed for third-degree assault in the same incident.

McGraw said the physical altercation between Moten and his former girlfriend before 1 a.m. Tuesday was “real minor” and allegedly began when the girlfriend confronted Moten, asked for a pair of earrings she had given him and then slapped him.

Citing the police report, McGraw said Moten allegedly pushed his former girlfriend away and she later reported feeling pain to police, which forced them to arrest Moten.
