Avalanche Vs. Hurricanes Score Update: Avs Even Game At 3 Heading Into Final Period

In a game colored by late goals as periods were coming to a close, the Colorado Avalanche got the latest last laugh in their game against the Carolina Hurricanes, as Paul Stastny's goal with one minute to go in the second period tied the score at 3-3 heading into the final frame. This came after the Hurricanes went up 2-1 to end the first period when Jiri Tlusty scored with just 23 seconds left in that period.

In the second, the scoring was started when Colorado's Milan Hejduk netted his 13th goal of the season on assists by Stastny and David Jones with just over three minutes gone in the period. The lamps would stay unlit until Carolina's Eric Staal put his 14th of the year past Jean Sebastien Giguere with four and a half minutes left in the period. Stastny's goal would come four minutes later, giving him two points in tonight's game.
