Avalanche Vs. Predators Score Update: Colorado Takes 2-0 Lead Into 1st Intermission

The Colorado Avalanche are off to a strong start in Nashville on Thursday night and hold a 2-0 lead on the Predators after 20 minutes of play. Ryan O'Reilly got the scoring started for the Avs about six minutes into the game with his 12th goal of the season. He added a helper on Colorado's second goal, which was scored by Gabriel Landeskog about six minutes after the first tally.

Colorado out-shot Nashville 15-7 in the period, and although the Avs were unable to convert on a few power play opportunities, Nashville obviously had no success in that area either. Colorado also won 15 of 24 faceoffs in the period.

The Avalanche are trying to snap a two-game losing streak.
