NHL Power Rankings 2011: Avalanche Slide In This Week's Rankings

The Avalanche are No. 23 in this week's aggregate power rankings.

The Colorado Avalanche have struggled a bit in November, which is reflected in the latest power rankings from various media outlets. Real Clear Sports aggregates these rankings and takes the average for each team, and the Avs checked in at No. 23 this week.

They spent several weeks earlier in the season in the top 10 of the aggregate power rankings, but those November struggles have them plummeting. The outlet most generous to Colorado was Fox Sports, which placed the team at No. 20 in its rankings. No outlet ranked the team lower than No. 25.

The good news for the Avs is that they are far from out of contention in the Northwest, and they have a long homestand ahead of them.
