The second period flipped things around and the Flames scored a goal 36 seconds into the period. Curtis Glencross put the puck in the net on the power play for his fourth goal of the season, exactly as Brandon Yip did earlier.
The Flames managed to get only six shots on net, but it was that one 36 seconds into the period that did the most damage. The Avalanche, meanwhile, were unable to do anything with their 13 shots in the period.
