Colorado's John-Michael Liles Named NHL Second Star Of Week

The NHL named their Three Stars of the Week today, and Colorado defenseman John-Michael Liles has been honored for his remarkable play of late. Liles scored two goals in last week's victory over St. Louis, and also added five assists during the week for a +5 rating. Liles' strong play helped the Avalanche to an undefeated week that catapulted them atop the Northwest Division standings. His 20 points ties him for third on the team, and his contributions have helped make the Avalanche one of the NHL's top offenses.
