Colorado Avalanche forward Chris Stewart was named one of the NHL's Three Stars for the month of October, along with Tampa Bay center Steven Stamkos and Boston goalie Tim Thomas.
↵Stewart had an electric first month of the season, tallying 9 goals and 16 points. These totals place him towards the top of the NHL leaderboard. Stewart also leads the league with three game winning goals. He earned his second career hat trick on October 28 against the Calgary Flames in a 6-5 Avalanche victory.
