The Denver Broncos trail the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 10-7, at halftime of their Week 13 meeting at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Denver allowed 10 unanswered points after taking a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter.
Tampa Bay answered Peyton Manning's 1-yard touchdown pass to Mitch Unrein with a nine-play, 66-yard drive which was capped off by a 31-yard field goal from Connor Barth. Less than two minutes later, the Buccaneers took the lead on an 11-yard scoring strike from Josh Freeman to Dallas Clark.
Freeman rivaled Manning's production in an evenly matched first half, completing 8-of-14 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. Manning was 11-of-15 for 108 yards and a score.
Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno picked up 45 yards on eight carries, while Tampa Bay tailback Doug Martin rushed 15 times for 48 yards. The Buccaneers out-gained the Broncos on offense in the half, 171 total yards to 150.
The Broncos will receive the ball when play resumes.
