The draft order near the bottom will be determined by the playoffs, but as it stands the Denver Broncos are tentatively in the No. 31 slot. (This would assume they make the Super Bowl and lose.) With the majority of teams in their eventual landing spot in the draft, mock drafts will probably start cropping up more often in the next few weeks as teams prepare to start the offseason.
SB Nation's latest 2013 NFL Mock Draft was released on Monday, and they have the Broncos going for some defensive bolstering with middle linebacker Alec Ogletree out of Georgia with the No. 31 pick:
Current starting middle linebacker Keith Brooking is 37 and Joe Mays often looked lost at the position. Ogletree is a high-level physical talent with some slight character flaws. He could be worth the risk. The Broncos could also look for secondary help with this pick.
Denver has made moves on the defense in two straight drafts, with the pick of Von Miller working out well in 2011 and Derek Wolfe being their pick in 2012. The Broncos could also go with a pick in the secondary with their draft selection, that being the only other part of the defense in dire need of depth.
