When the Denver Broncos hit the field for a big AFC West matchup with the San Diego Chargers this Sunday, they could be without the services of defensive end Elvis Dumervil. The veteran out of Louisville didn't practice today after spraining his shoulder against the Carolina Panthers last week:

Dumervil has racked up seven sacks on the season, good for second on the team behind the 10 of Von Miller. He's also the team's sixth-leading tackler with 36 this year. He's the best guy the Broncos have when it comes to punching the ball loose, racking up five forced fumbles. It'd be a big loss for the Broncos if Dumervil can't go against the Chargers. He had his best game of the season against the Bolts in San Diego in week six. He had five solo tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
At 6-3 on the season, the Broncos are two games ahead of the 4-5 Chargers in the AFC West standings. Picking up a win would go a long way to securing their second straight division title.
