Looking for their first road victory in 2012, the Denver Broncos trail 7-0 to the New England Patriots after one quarter on Sunday afternoon. Peyton Manning has generally looked solid so far, but the Broncos have taken a while to get going since Demaryius Thomas' fumble ended the team's first drive prematurely.
After the two teams traded scoreless drives early in the game, Tom Brady led New England on a 12-play, 84-yard scoring drive in the middle of the quarter that lasted nearly five minutes. Brady completed that drive with a 8-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker, giving the Patriots a 7-0 lead.
Manning has Denver's offense moving, though, so it may not be long before the Broncos are on the scoreboard. Currently driving down the field, Manning has completed 10-of-12 passes for 126 yards. Denver has the ball in field goal territory to begin the second quarter following a first down rush by Willis McGahee.
