The Denver Broncos are six-point favorites as they host the New Orleans Saints at Sport Authority Field in Denver on Sunday night. Last week, the Broncos won by 11 after closing as one-point favorites to the San Diego Chargers.
The line opened with the Broncos as 4.5-point favorites. As seen on both OddsShark and the SB Nation NFL odds page, for one book it has gone up to seven points, while other lines have moved to six points as money has come in on the Broncos.
The over-under point total is set at 55.5 points, which comes close to the two teams' scoring averages this season. Denver is averaging 28.3 points per game, while New Orleans is averaging 29.3. The Saints do, however, rank dead last in total defense, giving up 466 yards per game.
Another factor against both the line and the over-under could be the passing game. The Saints rank first in the NFL in passing offense at 335 yards per game, while the Broncos have a solid, but not dominant, passing defense that ranks 10th in the league.
