Tracy Porter injury: Broncos CB out vs. Chargers

Broncos CB Tracy Porter did not make the trip to San Diego as he recovers from an undisclosed illness.

Denver Broncos cornerback Tracy Porter has been downgraded to "out" for Monday night's game against the San Diego Chargers, according to the team's official Twitter account.

Porter has an undisclosed illness and did not make the trip to San Diego with the team. He will likely be replaced at right corner by Tony Carter or Chris Harris, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Porter has appeared in all five games for the Broncos this season, while making four starts. He has 21 tackles, six pass deflections and an interception, which was returned for a touchdown, in his first year in Denver. Porter spent the the previous four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, racking up seven picks and four forced fumbles in 47 games.

Of the potential replacements for Porter, Harris has seen the most action with the team. Despite making only five starts, Harris has appeared in 20 of 21 possible games with the Broncos. Harris has 18 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a pass deflection this season.
