Boise State's Offense Draws Criticism

The Boise St. Broncos kicked off the 2012 season with a 17-13 loss to Michigan State on Friday, as the post-Kellen Moore era begins. Needless to say, there's plenty of reaction among Broncos fans to the loss.

SB Nation's Boise St. blog, One Bronco Nation Under God, isn't short on opinion and analysis -- and some of it is pretty positive.

We learned that the Bronco defense will be the strength of this team.

Going into the season, we thought maybe the offensive line or the wide receivers were the backbone of the Broncos, but it appears that the backbone is going to be the defense -- tough, aggressive, opportunistic, and defiant. If Boise State can withstand an onslaught of Michigan State caliber and only allow 17 points, then the rest of the BSU schedule is going to seem like scrimmage. I'm one for getting my bold predictions really wrong, but here's one anyway: Boise State will not lose a game this year if it scores 24 points or more.

One Bronco Nation Under God also named three stars and the goat of Friday's game -- with the goat, not surprisingly, being Boise St.'s offense.

Neither D.J Harper nor the Broncos' red zone offense were spared, as both were named "not hot" by the folks over at One Bronco Nation Under God.
