Miami (OH) Vs. Boise State Score Update: Broncos Hold 8-0 Lead After 1st Quarter

The Boise State Broncos lead the Miami University RedHawks, 8-0, after one quarter at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The Broncos scored on their second drive of the quarter, after the first drive resulted in a turnover.

Boise State quarterback Joe Southwick guided the Broncos to two long drives in the quarter, as he completed six of eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. In their first possession, they marched 70 yards down the field and ended up inside the Miami 10-yard line, but Southwick was intercepted in the end zone on third down.

The Broncos would get the ball back shortly thereafter following a Miami three-and-out. In that possession, it only took them three plays to drive 55 yards and score on a 21-yard pass from Southwick to running back D.J. Harper.

Harper ran four times for 31 yards in the quarter, in addition to the touchdown reception.
