Boise State Vs. Michigan State Score Update: Spartans Lead Broncos, 10-3, After First Quarter

The Boise St. Broncos are losing to the Michigan St. Spartans, 10-3, at the conclusion of the first quarter. Spartans running back Le'Veon Bell scored on a one-yard touchdown run to finish off his team's opening drive. Kicker Dan Conroy added a 50-yard field goal with 1:39 left in the half to extend the lead to a touchdown-difference.

For Boise St., the growing pains of not having Kellen Moore showed early. Joe Southwick has struggled throwing the ball, completing just 2-of-8 passes for 24 yards. He's already had several passes batted down.

Spartan quarterback Andrew Maxwell is 5-of-9 for 48 yards and an interception. Maxwell's pass hit his receiver's hands, but it resulted in a bobbled ball, jumping into Jamar Taylor's hands. Taylor returned it 26 yards to Michigan St.'s 22-yard line, but the Broncos settled for Michael Frisina's 23-yard field goal.
