Denver is one of the teams that has shown some interest in linebacker Larry Lumpkin, according to Alabama A&M offensive coordinator Cedric Pearl. Lumpkin spent two seasons at Alabama A&M before transferring to Carson-Newman.
A&M offensive coordinator Cedric Pearl, who serves as A&M's NFL liason, has talked with scouts with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos about Lumpkin the last couple of days.
"They're interested in Larry," Pearl said. "They've seen him on film. They know what he can do. They're trying to get information on his background."
Lumpkin entered the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft when he learned he'd been ruled ineligible for the 2012 season.
He led Carson-Newman with 94 tackles (62 solo) in 2011.
