The 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft is set for 11:00 a.m. MT on Thursday, July 12, and former Boise State cornerback Quaylon Ewing joins running back Ed Wesley of TCU and wide receiver Josh Gordon of Baylor among the top players eligible to be drafted in the blind-bidding process. Ewing was dismissed from the Boise State team back in January, Gordon was suspended by Baylor in 2011 and never suited up for Utah and Wesley left TCU for family reasons last season, but all three are hoping to show NFL teams they are worth a supplemental selection.
NFL reporter Adam Caplan noted on Thursday that those three prospects are expected to have pro day workouts in the days leading up to the supplemental draft, so that will likely be their make-or-break moment:
RB Ed Wesley (TCU), WR Josh Gordon (Baylor) and CB Quaylon Ewing (Boise St.) are all expected to have pro day workouts earlier next week.
