The Boise St. Broncos will begin their 2012 campaign, their final one in the Mountain West Conference, with a road game against the Michigan St. Spartans on Aug. 31. That much we have known for some time, but on Tuesday afternoon the start time for that game in East Lansing was announced:
The Boise State-Michigan State game has been scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT Aug. 31. It will air on ESPN.

The Broncos enter the 2012 season without quarterback Kellen Moore, who went 50-3 with his graduating senior classmates. Joe Southwick is the odds-on favorite to take the reins of the offense, but he has yet to be named the starting quarterback. He, along with true freshman quarterback Nick Patti, was one of the stars of the spring game.
The Spartans enter the season also looking for a new quarterback. Kirk Cousins is currently waiting to be drafted by an NFL team while Andrew Maxwell is currently in line to be the starter, but he is likely to be held out of Saturday's spring game due to a sprained right knee. He is listed as questionable for the game. Connor Cook will receive extra playing time as a result.
