Boise State's Brent Pease Heading To Florida Gators As OC, According To Report

The Boise State Broncos were able to keep head coach Chris Petersen from leaving, but it appears as though offensive coordinator Brent Pease will leave for the Florida Gators.

The Boise St. Broncos didn't lose head coach Chris Petersen to either UCLA or Penn State during those head coaching searches, but it appears that the school will lose offensive coordinator Brent Pease to an SEC school, reports Chadd Cripe of the Idaho Statesman. Cripe and ESPN both report that the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide are after Pease, with Cripe leaning toward Florida. Pat Dooley of the Gainesville Sun also reports that Florida is Pease's destination.

The Gators were looking for a new offensive coordinator once Charlie Weis left for the Kansas Jayhawks head coaching position. Alabama still has Jim McElwain as the offensive coordinator through Monday night's BCS National Championship Game, but after that he is the Colorado St. Rams head coach.

Robert Prince, the wide receivers coach, is expected to be named the new offensive coordinator.
