Boise State's Demarcus Lawrence Named Scout.com's No. 23 Top JUCO Recruit

The Boise St. Broncos welcomed in junior college transfer Demarcus Lawrence a couple of weeks ago along with quarterback Nick Patti and four other recruits. Lawrence was named the No. 23 junior college transfer by Scout.com on Tuesday, the day before National Signing Day. Scout believes he'll be an instant impact player:

Since completing high school in South Carolina, he’s grown to 6-4 and 248 pounds, yet hasn’t sacrificed the closing speed and burst that make him so dangerous looping around the edge. At Boise State, Lawrence has two years of eligibility left to take advantage of a prime opportunity to crack the rotation immediately.

With the departures of Billy Winn and Shea McClellin from the defensive line, Lawrence could prove to be the fresh, new face that keeps the defensive line working. With Lawrence already enrolled and ready to participate in spring practice, the road ahead looks solid.
