The Boise St. Broncos are not only dealing with the attritional loss of a graduating senior class but also with losing its underclassmen early. On Thursday, the Broncos dismissed cornerback Quaylon Ewing-Burton from the team due to his failing to "live up to the standards of the program," reports Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman.
Ewing-Burton recorded 16 solo tackles and 10 assisted for 26 total tackles. He had half of a tackle for loss totaling one yard. He also broke up one pass and defended another one. But, as Murphy points out, Ewing-Burton allowed Josh Boyce to catch the two-point conversion (video) that ultimately allowed TCU to defeat Boise State, the team's only loss of the season.
Ewing-Burton would have been a reserve entering the 2012 season.
