College Football Rankings 2012 Preview: Jon Wilner Sees Boise State At Back End Of Preseason Polls

While the Boise St. Broncos have finished No. 6 in the Coaches Poll and No. 8 in the AP Poll, the 2012 preseason polls won't have the Broncos up that high. The Broncos are going to have plenty of change, be it from quarterback Kellen Moore to one of several choices at quarterback or the transition to a new defensive line, but the team should still expect to receive plenty of votes to make the back end of the top 25.

The San Jose Mercury News' Jon Wilner has already unveiled his way too early preseason 2012 Top 25 ballot. He has the Broncos as the No. 22:

22. Boise State: Expect 2012 to be a rebuilding year for the Broncos following the departure of quarterback Kellen Moore.

That's a fair assessment of the team right now, but we always have the caveats of spring practice and fall camp before we can attempt to rank these teams in the preseason (and that's if we should even have preseason rankings).

Predictable, LSU, USC and Alabama take the top three spots. At No. 17 is Michigan State, Boise State's opponent to open the 2012 season.
