Kellen Moore Has QB Award Named In His Honor By Touchdown Club Of Columbus

Kellen Moore has had a pretty good career as the Boise St. Broncos quarterback. He broke Colt McCoy's NCAA record for career wins this year and should reach win No. 50 when he plays against the Arizona St. Sun Devils in the 2011 MAACO Las Vegas Bowl. He's completed nearly 70 percent of his passes and thrown 140 touchdowns in his career.

And for the second year in a row, Moore has been named the top quarterback in the country by the Touchdown Club of Columbus. He joins the USC Trojans' Matt Leinart and the Miami Hurricanes' Ken Dorsey as the only two-time, back-to-back winners in the awards. This postseason honor will now be known as the Kellen Moore Award.

In 2007, Tim Tebow won the award while a member of the Florida Gators.

The college football awards show is on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. MT on ESPN. Moore is up for the Maxwell Award for top college player of the year. He is up against Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck and Alabama running back Trent Richardson.
