Las Vegas Bowl 2011 Odds: Boise State Vs. Arizona State

The Boise St. Broncos are 11-1 and playing in the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl for a second year in a row. In 2010, the Broncos defeated the Utah Utes, 26-3. This year the Broncos face the Arizona St. Sun Devils of the Pac-12. The opening line for this game had the Broncos as 11.5 point favorites over the Sun Devils, according to Odds Shark. That line has already moved to 13 points.

The Broncos haven't played the toughest schedule, but they had a great win to start the season against then No. 19 Georgia, 35-21. A Georgia Bulldogs team, mind you, that played in the SEC Championship (42-10 loss, be damned). But the Sun Devils are hardly an example of a good team. After starting 5-1, Arizona State went 1-5 in its last six games and lost four straight to close out the regular season.

Both teams feature strong offensive prowess, but the Broncos' allow the 10th fewest points at the FBS level (18.3). Will Brock Osweiler and the Sun Devils be able to overcome that stout defense? The over/under for this game opened at 65 points and moved by 1.5 and 2 points on later lines. A shootout appears in order for that to happen.
