New Mexico Vs. Boise State Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

The Mountain West Conference's regular season comes to an end on Saturday night, and the Boise St. Broncos will look to pick up its 11th victory of the season before going bowling. However, the Broncos are more likely to play in a pre-New Year's Day bowl game than one on New Year's Day or thereafter. With a loss to the TCU Horned Frogs in November, the Broncos lost most possibilities of making it to a BCS game. The Houston Cougars have swept right in and taken the spot the Broncos' coveted all season long.

Still, Broncos quarterback Kellen Moore has led the Broncos to 48 wins while at the helm of the team and will likely make it 49 after Saturday's game against the New Mexico Lobos. A bowl victory will give him 50. Moore has thrown for 3,194 yards and 38 touchdowns. Running back Doug Martin is force to be reckoned with, rushing for 1,038 yards and 13 touchdowns.

For the Lobos, this has been a season to forget. The team opened the season by losing a very winnable game to the Colorado St. Rams, 14-10. After being crushed by Arkansas and Texas Tech, the Lobos lost to current FCS No. 1 team Sam Houston State in overtime, 48-45. The losses continued to pile up until Nov. 12 when they beat the UNLV Rebels.

Oh, and head coach Mike Locksley was fired near the end of September. It was a combination of poor performance and an off-field incident that involved a car registered to Locksley. But in mid-November, the school hired former Notre Dame head coach Bob Davie to take over for the interim coach George Barlow. Maybe the future is brighter with Davie around.
