The 2011 FCS Playoffs bracket is out, but how did those teams appear in the Top 25 poll? The Sports Network's Top 25 poll moved the undefeated Sam Houston State Bearkats to No. 1 after the Montana State Bobcats lost to their in-state rival, the Montana Grizzlies. The Bobcats fell to No. 7 while the Grizzlies moved from that spot to No. 5.
However, the seedings in the playoffs do not matchup exactly. The Bearkats are No. 1 in the poll and in the playoffs bracket, but No. 4 North Dakota State is the No. 2 in the playoffs. Georgia Southern is No. 3 in both the poll and the playoffs. Northern Iowa is No. 2/4 in the poll and the playoffs.
Montana State will face New Hampshire on Dec. 3. The Wildcats are the No. 11 team in the final regular season poll. Montana faces the winner of Tennessee Tech-Central Arkansas. Tech is ranked No. 21 while Central Arkansas is No. 15.
