The Lake Erie Monsters are currently at the top of the North Division in the Western Conference of the AHL, holding a 4-2 record after six games. Over the weekend, they'll face two more matches, playing the Abbotsford Heat twice in two games.
Abbotsford, the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have gone undefeated through their first three games of the season. They are led by names like defenseman T.J. Brodie and Ben Walter, who currently leads the team with seven points. Defenseman Thomas Pock leads the pack for the Monsters early in the season, with seven points. Long time Av's prospect Mark Olver is second on the team with six points.
Both games between the Monsters and Heat will be played at Quicken Loans Arena.
