2012 Mountain West football standings: Air Force sits in 4th place

The Air Force Falcons defeated Hawaii to move to 5-2 in Mountain West play.

Air Force picked up a 21-7 win over Hawaii Friday night. With the victory, the Falcons improved to 5-2 in Mountain West play. Air Force is slotted in fourth place in the conference standings.

Colorado State went on the road and lost at MWC co-leader Boise State on Saturday, dropping to 2-5 in conference play and seventh place in the standings. The Broncos improved to 6-1 in MWC games and are tied with Fresno State for first place.

Only two other MWC games were played over the weekend. Nevada defeated New Mexico, 31-24, and improved to 4-3 in conference, and Wyoming edged UNLV, 28-23, moving to 3-4. New Mexico dropped to 1-6 in conference games, and UNLV fell to 2-5.

Boise State holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with Fresno State thanks to a 20-10 victory over the Bulldogs on Oct. 13. A win over Nevada on Saturday, Dec. 1 will wrap up the conference title for the Broncos.
