2012 Mountain West football standings: Boise State alone at the top, Air Force close behind

Week 8 results have left the Broncos alone at the top of the Mountain West Conference.

The Boise State Broncos are now the lone undefeated team in Mountain West Conference play after Week 8's conclusion, with four teams currently tied for second place.

No. 22 Boise State defeated UNLV, 32-7, to move to 3-0 in conference play and 6-1 overall. Their position alone at the top comes as the Nevada Wolf Pack lost to San Diego State, 39-38, in overtime in a game that they led 24-14 after three quarters.

Air Force outlasted the option attack of New Mexico, 28-23, to move to 3-1 in conference play. Air Force joins Nevada, Fresno State, and San Diego State in second place with a 3-1 record.

Colorado State remains winless at 0-3 after a bye week. Here are the full conference standings:
