Air Force Vs. Boise State Recap: Michael Lyons Scores 24 Points, But Falcons Lose 72-61

The Air Force Falcons (11-11, 1-7) had some excellent individual contributions Saturday night, but they could not fend off the Boise St. Broncos (11-12, 1-7), losing 72-61 in interim head coach Dave Pilipovich's first game. The loss is the Falcon's 6th in a row.

Junior G Michael Lyons crossed into 20-points for the 6th time this season, scoring 24 points while collecting 3 rebounds and steal, but the Falcons proved incapable of handling Broncos on the perimeter or on the paint.

G-F Anthony Drmic (12 pts, 10 reb) dominated the boards while G Joe Hanstad (19 pts, 5 rebounds) and G Tre Nichols (9 for 9 on free throws) kept the Broncos offense ticking. The Falcons managed to collect 6 steals and 25 rebounds, but the Broncos' 7 offensive rebounds and 36 total rebounds proved too much for the new-look Falcons.

The Air Force basketball will play next on Wednesday night against the Wyoming Cowboys.
