Air Force Vs. Boise State Recap: Falcons Snap Broncos' Nine Game Home Winning Streak

The Air Force Falcons (11-4, 1-0) dominated the Boise State Broncos (10-6, 0-1) on Saturday night.

The Air Force Falcons kicked off 2012 conference play with an impressive 74-59 victory over the Boise State Broncos, a win that broke Boise's streak of nine consecutive home victories. With the win, the Falcons also picked up their first road victory of the season after having dropped their only two tests away from home to the Drake Bulldogs and Gonzaga Bulldogs.

The Falcons were led on Saturday night by junior center Taylor Broekhuis, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three assists. The Falcons also picked up an efficient game from junior guard Mike Fitzgerald, whose 16 points came on only nine shots. As a team, the Broncos shot 48% from the field and 42% from three while holding the Broncos to, respectively, 38% and 34% shooting. Air Force also made 16 of 19 free throws on the night.

The Falcons will continue Mountain West play on Wednesday Jan. 18 when they host the Wyoming Cowboys.
