TCU Vs. Air Force: Casey Pachall Has Horned Frogs in 21-3 Lead Over Falcons

The TCU Horned Frogs appear to have shrugged off their 50-48 loss to the Baylor Bears last week by coming out with a 21-3 halftime lead over the Air Force Falcons. Quarterback Casey Pachall has impressed everyone and just picked apart the Falcons' secondary. He is 16-of-18 for 174 yards and one touchdown.

The Horned Frogs scored their third touchdown on an eight-play, 80-yard drive. Pachall had his first incompletion on the drive (after 10 straight good ones), but that didn't deter him. A 21-yard pass to Antoine Hicks, combined with an unnecessary roughness penalty, on 3rd-and-8 at their own 40-yard line sent them to Air Force's 24-yard line. Two more passes for a total of 21 yards put the Horned Frogs on the three-yard line. Matthew Tucker rushed in for his second touchdown of the game.

Falcons coach Troy Calhoun needs to find some adjustments at halftime or risk letting this game getting further out of hand. The Falcons did show some signs of life just before halftime. Jamil Cooks sacked Pachall and stripped the ball away. Air Force recovered and kicked a field goal.
