After a few days of future Mountain West football conferences leaking their ways out, the league released complete 2012 and 2013 football schedules. The Mountain West will play an eight-team conference schedule instead of a nine-gamer. This benefits the Air Force Falcons greatly since it helps them keep an extra non-conference game. Army and Navy always booked each year for the Falcons.
As a result of this schedule, each team will miss another team for two years in a row. The Air Force Academy will not play the Boise St. Broncos in either 2012 or 2013. The Colorado State Rams will not play the Nevada Wolf Pack for those two years.
