Colorado State, Air Force 2011 Television Football Schedule Announced

Last month, the Mountain West released the league's 2011 college football schedule, and on Thursday the league released their television schedule for the 2011 football season minus a few road non-conference games that have yet to be finalized. Just like last year all games that are on The Mtn. will be in high-definition.

All of the Air Force Falcons games will be shown on television this season which is an improvement over last year when all but one of their games were televised. Typically games against FCS opponents have not been shown as was the case in Air Force's lone 2010 game against Northwestern State. The Falcons game against Texas State will be shown on The Mtn. network.

The breakdown of the Air Force schedule looks like this: six games on The Mtn., three on Versus, two on CBS Sports (formerly CBS College Sports) and the lone over-the-air game is on NBC when the Falcons travel to Notre Dame.

The Colorado St. Rams schedule is not as viewer friendly as Air Force, because eight of their games are on The Mtnnetwork, so those who do not get the channel will have a tough time getting to see their Rams. My suggestion is to try to switch to DirecTv where it's available on the sports pack if not check here to see if you get The Mtn.

The Rams do have on game which is on CBS Sports which will be the game on the road at TCU on Nov. 19. The other three games are not known if they will be on television or not. The game against Colorado most likely will be shown on television, and since Colorado has the television rights this year it most likely will be on FX, Fox Sports or one of the ESPN channels. Expect that game to be shown, but the other two against Utah State and UTEP if shown will be on an ESPN network. To get the games on television they may be moved to a weeknight game and away from their current scheduled Saturday date.
