Texas A&M Coaching Rumors: Air Force's Calhoun Says He Hasn't Talked With Anyone, According To Report

While on Wednesday morning the hot rumor for the vacant Texas A&M Aggies head coaching was Air Force Falcons head coach Troy Calhoun, it appears that there may be no substance to those reports. Calhoun texted Colorado Springs Gazette reports Frank Schwab, informing him that the Air Force Academy was where he wanted to be and that he hadn't spoken with anyone.

Given that Calhoun basically said the same things last year when the Colorado Buffaloes and the Denver Broncos were poking around for new head coaches, there's no reason to believe that Calhoun is just being diplomatic about things. He bleeds the blue of the Falcons' uniforms.

One year ago, the Academy did give Calhoun a five-year contract extension to help satisfy his desire to remain with the Falcons. But for Calhoun it hasn't ever really appeared to be about the money. "Aim High ... Fly-Fight-Win"
