The 2011 bowl game predictions are heating up just hours away from the formal announcement of these games. One of the latest rumors is that either the Boise St. Broncos or the TCU Horned Frogs have jumped into a BCS bowl bid.
According the Oklahoman's Travis Haney, if reports of the Texas Longhorns going to the Holiday Bowl are true that means Kansas State is outside of a BCS bowl bid. However, the Wildcats could be in if both 6-6 teams in the Big 12 make bowl games.
If the former is true, that would mean the Wildcats would play in the Cotton Bowl and the Oklahoma Sooners would be heading to the Insight Bowl. That leaves an at-large BCS bid for the Broncos or TCU. If TCU is in the top 16 of the final BCS standings, they would get the game since they are the Mountain West Conference champions.
The rumors are far from over.
